We at Brainfood Audiobooks UK like to keep things as simple as possible. It is not our intention to make profit from our postal charges. If you find your order has generated what you consider to be an excessive postal charge please contact us and we will investigate.
As regards shipping this means that the vast majority of our shipping is done through Royal Mail.
There are certain exceptions, due to weight and destination, but for Standard UK Delivery 95% of our packages go 1st Class Royal Mail. If our Customer feedback is representative over the last 2 years, then you are all delighted with the speed of dispatch and delivery.
Due to our proximity to the local Post Office our daily cut-off for mail is 3 pm. Items ordered before 3 pm will be posted, 1st Class, the same day. We try our very best to maintain this during the busiest times of the year but there may be circumstances beyond our control that mean this is not possible. If this is the case we will advise you before purchase if at all possible.
We have tried to keep the Shipping Rates Table as straightforward as possible. Please, if you have any questions whatever concerning it, please mail us.
Our Shipping Rates are only revised when our main shippers adjust their prices. We will give maximum notification possible of any changes to our rates.

Within the UK, the Royal Mail 1st Class service is defined as ".. aim to deliver 1st Class letters the next working day after collection". In our experience this is reflective of the service we receive from the Royal Mail. If it is imperative that you receive your item by a particular day please contact us before 2 pm that day.
Delivery Services for Packages Over 2 kg
The delivery services we use in the over 2 kg items category are currently;
UK - My Hermes Standard
Europe - TNT Standard
USA - UPS Standard
Aus/N.Z. - DHL Standard
Most of these services have a 5-7 day delivery target.
If you require items to be sent more urgently than this please contact us.
We will happily accept returns within 14 days of receipt for a refund as long as they are still in a saleable condition.
To return an item, you need to email us at with your full name and order number, plus the reason for your return to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If we have been at error then we will refund you the original postage costs and return postage costs.
If the item was purchased in error by the Customer we will not refund either the original postage costs or the return postage costs.
Also, if the return reduces the value of the original order to a level that invalidates the order for a free postage discount then the original postage charge may, at the discretion of the company, be deducted from any refund issued.
We will then email you back with a returns authorisation number and return address.
All returns are processed within 24 hours of receipt.
