Audio Repair and Audio Transfer of Customer Own Tapes
How it Works
If you have a damaged audio tape that needs repairing and then transferring to Audio CD this is the service for you.
You should place an order for this item for each tape that requires repair and recording.
An Example of How it Works
If you wish to send us an audio tape for repair and re-recording onto an Audio-CD all you need to do is -
1 - Place this item in your basket.
2 - Go to Checkout and Pay.
3 - We will then email you to confirm your order.
4 - You should then send us the audio tape to - Audio Repairs, Brainfood Audiobooks, Oernant Uchaf, Llangollen, LL20 8DP.
5 - When we receive your tape/MP3CD we will contact you to inform you that it has been received and to give you an estimated time for processing.
6 - It will then be processed, which normally takes between 5-7 working days, and we will inform you when it is complete and we are ready to dispatch your audiobooks.
7 - We will then return your original and the new audio CD / MP3 CD by 1st Class Royal Mail postage.
Audio Quality
When we are repairing a cassette tape there will definitely be a loss of sound in the area of the tape around the damage. We will keep this to a minimum but you should expect between 30-60 seconds of lost audio depending on the damage. In addition you should be aware that if We are transferring audio from Audio Cassettes to a Digital media, CD or MP3 CD, there will almost always be a deterioration in sound quality. The recordings we make are from the original tapes purchased and so can suffer with the issues tapes occasionally display. Please be aware we do our best but there is nothing we can do about removing some of these sound anomalies.
Most transfers can be processed within 5 working days, so please understand that our normal next day service will not happen in these cases.
