Michael Hordern stars as Jeeves with Richard Briers as Bertie in a BBC Radio 4 full-cast dramatisation. Mayhem has broken out at Brinkley Court and there would seem to be a desperate need for Jeeves. But Bertie is fed up with the assumption that he is merely an addendum to his personal attendant.

A Genius Performance by Ian McKellen!

The youngest child of debtor William Dorrit, Amy is born in the Marshalsea prison. She is befriended by Arthur Clennam, whose mother employs 'Little Dorrit' as a seamstress. Then, following the discovery of a large and unexpected inheritance, the fortunes of the Dorrits undergo an extreme change and the family moves to Italy.

Back in England, Arthur finds himself the victim of a massive fraud and ends up in Marshalsea. There he is found by Little Dorrit, but it is not until the Dorrit fortune is lost that the couple can be united at last. Kenneth Cranham, Sophie Thompson and Margaret Tyzack are among the cast in this memorable tale, which is both a satire of Victorian England and a surprising love story.
